Audio Recording and Editing Guide

  • Information booklets / sheets

This is a guide for teachers on how to record interviews with professional guests and how to edit those interviews for uploading to school websites.  The recording guide uses an economical recording device which can make interviews sound professional.  The clearer the interview, the easier it is to listen to – in a classroom or home setting.  The guide also gives brief instructions on how to edit the interview.

This is needed for if you want to cut off the beginning chat, or end goodbyes, or if there is an event in the middle of the interview that you would rather not be in the final product.   The guide suggests using free software, but the principles of editing remain the same regardless of how much your software costs.
