New primary school pilot to help children dream big about their future careers

Our journey in primary is now moving forward with a new career-related learning programme for primary schools, backed by £2.6 million of DfE investment through to 2025.

Centred on 23 targeted Careers Hubs, which cover 55 Education Investment Areas, the project will bring together primary schools and provide teachers with training, delivered by our partner Teach First. The Teach First professional training will help primary school teachers to deliver a strategic careers programme focused on careers in the curriculum and employer encounters.

The pilot aims to increase the awareness that primary-aged children have of the world of work, increase their aspirations and reduce their stereotypical thinking. You can read more about the programme on our main website.
