Loud! is a series of 20 digital, films featuring children (aged 7 - 11) interviewing diverse young professionals (under 30) about their jobs, their challenges and their aspirations, focusing on STEM & the Creative Industries.
They are authentic and naturally engaging films, presented with clarity and great power, introducing young learners to work, enabling a discovery of different jobs set in real-life workplaces.
From a Camera Operator to a Social Media Producer, from an Astrophysicist to a Formula 1 Race Analyst, from a Lego Designer to a Game Developer, each individual film links back to the classroom, supporting core curriculum learning and importantly, the future skills needed for each job. Created for a digitally savvy audience, the films have editorial integrity and key learning and are packaged up in an exciting, bright and bold way, complimented by punchy music and fun graphics.
All the films are supported by classroom learning packs; teacher notes and versatile learner’s activity sheets (Discover and Do) that can be used to support CRL directly or within the curriculum. The Loud! Network films are a collection of credible films designed for flexible use in the classroom to illuminate and inspire young learners.
Prezidente meets Tasha Howe
Tash is an animator. She talks about her love of drawing and how she became an animator. Prezidente talks to Tash about his Autism and asks her advice about working in the creative industries, specifically animation.
Justice meets Holly Smyth
Holly is a camera operator in TV/Film. She talks about entry level as a runner, working your way up, and how to work and learn from other people. Holly also talks how her dyslexia did not hold her back.
Zahra meets Phillip End
Phillip is a Dentist based in Manchester. He talks about the importance of communication skills and the practical aspects of his job Phillip also teaches Zahra a song about brushing teeth, which he performs in schools.
Lila meets Alexandra Adams
Alexandra is training to be a Doctor. Once qualified she will be the first deaf and blind Doctor working in the NHS. In this film she talks about the skills needed to be a Doctor and how her disability doesn’t hold her back.
Rosa meets Jess Herbert
Jess is a Vibrations Engineer with Rolls Royce based in Bristol. She talks to Rosa about leaving school at 16 and her route into work as an Apprentice. Jess challenges stereotypes in science and her varied role as an engineer.
Charlie meets Chris Lark
Chris is a Race Strategist with McLaren. This film is shot at McLaren HQ in Surrey. Chris talks about the importance of listening, communication, and creativity. He also talks about working hard and following your passion.
Maiya meets Fatima Hussein
Fatima is the winner of the 2019 Best Grassroots Leader award at the UEFA Grassroots Award and UEFA’s Bobby Moore Award for leadership skills. Fatima talks about her love for football, the challenges she faced, coming from a Somalian background, and how she overcame them to be a leader.
Elijah meets Adam Kaye
Adam is a game developer. He talks about how you write code and demonstrates the changes it makes to games. He talks about the importance of learning from your mistakes and also teamwork.
Henry meets Elizabeth Passey
Elizabeth is a gemologist. She talks about always being fascinated by gems and they are formed and how you identify the real gems to the fake. She talks about research skills and fact finding along with presenting your findings back to others.
Jayden meets Daniel Jones from RHS Wisley
Daniel talks about leaving school and not being sure what he wanted to do. He enjoyed gardening and became an apprentice for the Royal Horticultural Society. He talks about working and studying. Daniel talks about the seasons and the range of vocational jobs available.

This film explains lots about space, some fun space terms whilst also sharing the jobs available in the industry. Kiran is a Chemistry Teacher. This film talks about what it takes to be a secondary school teacher and essential skills; communication. It also talks about girls in science and many roles. This film has lots of fun practical experiments with a “don’t try this at home” warning!
